Why do I enjoy being a photographer?...Creative problem solving!

Problems such as location, lighting, or layout are some of the many problems that need to be solved to create a photographic reality. From the mundane to the spiritual each photo shoot offers many "problems" to solve. This variety is what makes my work such a joy.

Working with the client's creative vision I produce an image that is a synergy of talent, craft and collaboration.

What follows will offer you a glimpse into my solutions.

 Jewelry photography

Jewelry may be the hardest of all products to photograph. Attention to detail is a must. I use a 4x5" camera for the highest quality image. Along with the larger image size, the 4x5" camera offers the most control of focus and perspective.

 Furniture photography

Geometry plays a large part in the composition of furniture. The liner aspects of furniture accentuate the vanishing point of the composition. A sight shift left or right, up or down dramatically change the relationship of each pieces of furniture to each other.
